Eastern Veil Nebula
The Veil Nebula is a supernova remnant, the remains of a star that exploded between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago in the constellation of Cygnus. It’s a large object, several full moons in diameter, but is too faint to be seen with the unaided eye. This section, the Eastern Veil, is sometimes known as the Bat Nebula.
